Nick Cannon, the multi-talented actor, rapper, and business mogul, recently revealed in an exclusive interview with HipHopDX that he was offered the leading role in the 2006 film ATL before it ultimately went to T.I.

Cannon, who is known for his roles in films like Drumline and Love Don't Cost a Thing, shared that he and T.I. have talked about the situation in the past. "I've interviewed T.I. and he's interviewed me a couple times and we always talk about that story … he gets mad at me like, 'Why you always got to bring that up?'" Cannon said.

While T.I.'s audition for Cannon's role in Drumline has been widely discussed since he revealed it in an interview with Shannon Sharpe earlier this year, Cannon's revelation about ATL might come as a surprise to some.

It's worth noting that ATL ended up being T.I.'s feature-film debut, and his performance was widely praised by critics and audiences alike. The film, which is set in Atlanta and follows the lives of four friends, also features memorable performances from Lauren London, Evan Ross, and Big Boi.

Despite missing out on the role in ATL, Cannon has had a successful career in the entertainment industry, with roles in films like Men in Black II and television shows like The Masked Singer. He's also a successful businessman, with ventures in everything from fashion to technology.

It's always interesting to hear about the what-ifs in Hollywood, and Cannon's revelation about ATL is no exception. Who knows how the film would have turned out if he had taken on the leading role, but it's safe to say that T.I.'s performance helped make it the classic it is today.
